Help! Someone Is Impersonating Me On Facebook

Internet spam is everywhere, you get quite a few spam emails every week and if you are active on social sites, you have seen so many spam profiles here and there.
Profile impersonification, however is a serious issue – some people can completely replicate your profile, steal photos from your albums and have the same information displayed on social sites e.g Facebook, Orkut, Myspace.
If you or any of your friends find someone impersonating a Facebook profile, here are the steps to ask Facebook to remove or block the spam profile:
Remove a Facebook Account Which is Impersonating You
1. First, note down the profile ID and the URL of the spam profile. This is required, because later you would want to check whether the same profile still exists or not.
2. Since you want Facebook to completely delete that profile, deleting the person from your friend list isn’t going to solve the problem. You have to report the profile as a spam profile and wait for some time till Facebook removes that person.
3. Open the profile in your browser, scroll down to the end of the page and click “Report/Block” this person.
4. This will open up a submission form where you can provide more information and report the profile as spam. Choose the “Report this person” checkbox and select “Fake profile” from the options drop down. Next, Choose the report type as “Impersonating me or someone else”
Next, enter the profile URL which is being impersonified. This means, you have to enter the profile URL of the person whose profile has been copied or whose images have been used.
Hit the submit button and you are done. An Administrator from Facebook will review your application and take action as a result of your report. You will not be notified whether any action has been taken to remove the profile, but you can enter the spam profile URL in the browser address bar and check whether it exists or not.
If you are redirected to the home page or get an error message, this means the profile has been successfully blocked and removed from Facebook.
